The menu keeps appearing and disappearing endlessly

Can someone tell me what’s causing this bug? I use Intune to deploy our software with PSDAT. 99% of the time, everything works fine. But sometimes, the PSADT menu starts appearing and disappearing endlessly. I have to restart the computer. Here’s a part of the log file. Maybe someone can help!

I’m guessing that the dialog appearing and disappearing is the one asking the user to close some apps before the installation.

As per your log, the list of apps it’s trying to close is the following:
Prompting the user to close application(s) [Evented I/O for V8 JavaScript,Microsoft Word,SMART Board Service,SMART Helper Service For Windows,SMART Ink,SMART Notification,SMARTInk-SBSDKProxy]...]L

Try removing “Evented I/O for V8 JavaScript” from the list. That forward slash in I/O is just begging to cause problems.

Usually it’s because processes listed in CloseApps are not finished yeta - PSADT will show prompt again and again…

FYI: the PSADT CloseApps code checks if the same apps are closed after a user clicks [Close Apps] or [Continue]. If the apps respawn themselves, PSADT will nag the user again.

MS Teams, for example, is notorious to respawn/relaunch so I kill it silently because PSADT can then kill all instances without asking for permission from the user between each kill.
