Zero Config MSI install is not working for all installers

Hi,

I have noticed that the built-in Zero Config MSI install is not working for all MSI’s. E.g. Strawberry Perl is not installing correctly unless you use the Execute-MSI command instead.

Anybody else came across this issue?

What exactly isn’t working? Did you look at the logs? Can you find the line for the msiexec command?

Does the MSI work when you run it silently from CMD?

How is the MSI named? PSADT is just looking for the first MSI in the Files directory.

Did you fill in the variables for Appname, app vendor, and appversion? PSADT will only Zero-config MSI if those variables are left empty. (Hence “Zero-config”)
